Black members Survey

UNISON North West, working with the Regional Black Members committee is launching a
survey of Black workers to help identify what issues are important and to improve the
participation of Black Members in the Unions structures.
This survey is intended to establish the level of trade union activity undertaken by our Black
members and to address any underrepresentation within its structures through training and
support.

In UNISON Black is used to indicate people with a shared history. Black with a capital ‘B’ is used
in its broad political and inclusive sense to describe people in Britain that have suffered
colonialism and enslavement in the past and continue to experience racism and diminished
opportunities in today’s society.Click on the link for more
