Trade Union Bill – Public Meetings

Yes_to_Workers_Rights_.jpg

The Trade Union Bill is a new set of laws that will severely restrict working peoples’ ability to organise for their own rights and campaign for a more progressive society.

The Trade Union Bill:

–       undermines the right to strike

–       will allow employers to use agency workers to break strikes

–       would undermine the right to peaceful protest on picket lines

–       will restrict facility time

–       would restrict UNISON’s campaigning work with new laws on the political fund

–       is an attack on DOCAS/Check off

The Bill will make it harder for employees to make their voice heard at work and will hand more power over to employers.

The Bill is intended to pave the way for future cuts and privatisation of essential public services, and silence the opposition of working people and their trade unions.
