UNISON consults on new annual leave proposals

UNISON is seeking feedback from members on new proposals put forward by Pennine Care NHS Trust to pay a 12.5% increase on any unsocial hours enhancements staff receive, in order to adhere to the provisions surrounding annual leave which are set out in Agenda for Change.

The proposals  come after UNISON collected evidence that existing arrangements around annual leave could mean staff are losing out on payments they are entitled to under the terms of Agenda for Change. Staff should receive enhancements to annual leave payments based on their previous 13 week work pattern, but this has not been put into practice consistently in all areas of the Trust.

Our evidence suggests that these new proposals represent a significant improvement for the vast majority of staff, and that most would be financially better off if they were to be put in place. However we’re keen to know what our members think before we negotiate any agreement.
