MAKE A STAND AGAINST FEMALE GENITAL MUTILATION
Olayinka is a 16 year old girl living in Rochdale who is at serious risk of Female Genital Mutilation if she and her family return to Nigeria. A serious threat is posed from her paternal family who believe that bad things have happened to the family because she has not undergone the procedure, including her fathers death.
UNISON Pennine Care Branch support her campaign against deportation, and a number of branch members are involved in her ongoing care. The campaign is holding a fundraiser in Rochdale on Sunday 18th August, details below:

REFRESHMENTS, ENTERTAINMENT AND CHILDRENS ACTIVITIES AVAILABLE WITH GUEST SPEAKERS ON THE DAY
The event is being organised by RAPAR (Refugee and Asylum Seeker Participatory Action Research), a Manchester-based human rights organisation working with people, both locally and further afield, who are at risk of having their rights denied.
